In a powerful statement on Capitol Hill, Sky Roberts, brother of late Epstein survivor Virginia Giuffre, condemned Republican lawmakers for blocking the release of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein’s sex trafficking case.

Speaking at a press conference organized by survivors and bipartisan legislators, Roberts emphasized that the individuals involved are not just distant elites but are deeply connected to the political and financial systems.

He stated, “These are your politicians. Your bankers. The wealthy and powerful.” Roberts argued that it should not be the responsibility of survivors to expose these names and called on the government to protect the public, not the affluent individuals financing the cover-up.

This statement comes amid growing bipartisan support in Congress for the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which aims to compel the release of sealed documents.

Representatives Ro Khanna (D-CA) and Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) are leading efforts to force a House vote on the matter. Khanna noted that less than 1% of the documents have been made public, while Greene pledged to publicly name alleged abusers with victims’ consent.

In response to these developments, President Donald Trump dismissed the push for transparency as a “Democrat hoax,” accusing Democrats of orchestrating the controversy and attempting to distract from his administration’s accomplishments.

Giuffre’s family has consistently advocated for the release of the Epstein files. Her sister-in-law, Amanda Roberts, revealed that Giuffre had hoped for the files’ release, desiring “transparency and justice” for victims. The family also urged Trump not to pardon Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s accomplice.

As public pressure mounts, survivors of Epstein’s trafficking ring are considering compiling and releasing their own list of individuals allegedly involved, in the absence of official government action, according to nbcnews.
