Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) didn’t hold back on Thursday when she slammed Republican attacks targeting the left after the deadly shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. She called their claims “full of bullsh*t.”

Omar pointed to Rep. Nancy Mace, accusing her of relentless harassment against people she views as inferior—people she wishes wouldn’t exist in the country at all.

In an interview with left-wing commentator Mehdi Hasan on his Zeteo platform, Omar said, “You also have Trump, who has fueled violence against people like me. These attacks are nonsense, and we have to call them out, even as we feel the weight of anger and grief.”

She described watching the video and hearing the news of Kirk’s assassination as “deeply mortifying.”

“I kept thinking about his wife and children. That image will haunt me forever,” Omar shared with Hasan.

On the other side, Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) took to social media on Wednesday to condemn Kirk’s death. She blamed the left for a rise in political violence, despite Democrats also condemning the shooting.

Mace insisted, “If you hold a different opinion from the left, they want to kill you. That is a fact, and the media should report it as such.”

President Trump responded Wednesday night, saying he was “filled with grief and anger” over Kirk’s death. He called Kirk a “martyr for truth and freedom.”

In a video posted online, Trump vowed to track down “everyone responsible for this atrocity and other acts of political violence.” He blamed the “radical left” for “the rhetoric directly responsible for the terrorism we’re seeing today.”

The Hill has reached out to the White House and Mace’s office for their comments.
