U.S. President Donald Trump delivers a controversial speech at the United Nations General Assembly, sparking backlash over rambling remarks, conspiracy claims, and a jab at his malfunctioning teleprompter. His niece, Mary Trump, later called the speech a "major meltdown," accusing him of hypocrisy and spreading misinformation.

Donald Trump’s niece has sharply criticized him, calling him a “raving lunatic” after his recent speech at the United Nations sparked outrage and confusion. Her comments come as many accuse the former president of showing clear signs of cognitive decline during the address.

Speaking at the UN General Assembly in New York, Trump delivered a rambling and chaotic speech that left many baffled. He claimed immigration was destroying European nations, dismissed climate change as a hoax, and falsely accused the mayor of London of trying to enforce Sharia law in the city.

Trump also made exaggerated statements about his own popularity and accused the United Nations of being corrupt. At one point, he claimed to have ended seven wars on his own and complained about an escalator malfunction during his arrival at the venue.

“I ended seven wars, dealt personally with the leaders of all those countries, and never even got a phone call from the United Nations,” he said, expressing frustration over what he felt was a lack of recognition.

“All I got from the United Nations was an escalator that stopped halfway on the way up,” Trump said during his speech. “If the First Lady wasn’t in great shape, she would have fallen. But she’s in great shape. We’re both in good shape,” he added, making the comment seem more about fitness than safety.

At one point, Trump turned his attention to immigration and declared, “I’m really good at this stuff. Your countries are going to hell.” That particular clip has now gone viral, racking up over five million views on X.

Reacting to the video, American musician and author Mikel Jollett shared it with a blunt message: “Just spitballing here, but it’s probably bad that the entire world can see that the President of the United States has advanced dementia.”

One user on X pointed out a deeper concern. “The hidden danger isn’t just the decline itself, but the power vacuum it creates,” they wrote. “Unchecked advisors or foreign powers can take advantage of the situation, making decisions without real oversight. That’s the true risk to global stability.”

Another user offered a different take: “I’ve spent time with people who have dementia. This is beyond that. It’s raging narcissism mixed with a heavy dose of lies. These are his usual talking points, and no one ever challenges him, so he just keeps repeating them.”

A third person summed it up with sarcasm, saying, “History will remember Trump at the UN not as a statesman, but as Grandpa Simpson yelling at clouds no one else can see.”

Even Trump’s own family wasn’t silent about the speech. His niece, Mary Trump, posted a reaction video on her YouTube channel and called the address a “major meltdown.”

“Donald spoke at the United Nations, and I know it’s starting to sound repetitive, but it’s true—his speech was completely unhinged,” she said.

Mary went on to say, “He told so many lies that we couldn’t even keep count. And much of what he said didn’t make any sense at all.” She labeled the video with the phrase “raving lunatic,” leaving little doubt about how she felt.

Like many of Donald Trump’s speeches, this one quickly veered off course. Mary Trump pointed out that he once again went off script and began to ramble without much direction.

She highlighted a specific moment when Trump complained about his teleprompter not working. “I don’t mind making the speech without a teleprompter, because the teleprompter is not working,” he said. “I feel very happy to be up here with you nevertheless, and that way you can speak more from the heart.”

But right after that, Trump took a different tone. “I can only say whoever is operating this teleprompter is in big trouble,” he warned.

Mary didn’t hold back in calling out what she saw as blatant hypocrisy. “Wait a minute,” she said. “I thought he was happy to speak from his non-existent heart without a teleprompter?”

She continued by pointing out the contradiction. “I thought only people like ‘Sleepy Joe Biden’ needed teleprompters. Yeah, well, hypocrisy. That’s completely on brand for him.”
